CAZAP 200mg is used to treat epilepsy. It contains Carbamazepine, an anticonvulsant, that prevents seizures by enhancement of sodium channel inactivation by reducing high-frequency repetitive firing of action potentials.

This medicine is used to treat:
- Epilepsy (abnormal brain activity causing different forms of seizures)
- To control and treat seizures during and after brain surgery.
- To treat bipolar disorder in patients who are not responding to Lithium.

Dosage
The dosage depends on the illness that is being treated. Usually a low dose of 100-200mg once or twice a day will be prescribed which will be increased over a few weeks:

In case of Overdose
Seek medical help immediately if you think you have overdosed on this medicaton.

Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, make sure to take it as soon as possible the same day. If you don’t remember missing the dose, don’t double it. Consult your doctor on how to adjust the missing doses.

How To Use
Take this medicine with or without food and stay hydrated.

When Not to Use
You should not use this medication if you have a medical history of any of the following:
- An allergic reaction to carbamazepine or any other drug
- Heart, kidney, or liver disease.
- Decreased bone marrow function
- High cholesterol
- Decreased platelets
- Depression
- Increased pressure in the eye
- Myasthenia gravis
- Inability to empty bladder
